Beim Yamaha X-Max 250 haben durchweg alle Modelljahre von 2005-bis aktuell ein Seriengewicht der Variorollen in Höhe von 12 Gramm. Es werden für die Vario 8 Rollen mit den Maßen 20x12 benötigt. Eine Angabe von 14- bzw. 15 Gramm ist falsch und ist im Zusammenhang mit der Abstimmung der Stiftgewichte in der andersartigen J.Costa-Vario, bei älteren Modelljahren zu sehen.
Der optimale Mittelwert für die Abstimmung mit den Pulleys beträgt 10,5 Gramm. Je nach gewünschtem Einsatzzweck, kann hier eine Abweichung um 0,5 Gramm nach oben oder unten Vorteile bringen.
